Salmon fishing on the Saranac River

Fishing on the Saranac River yesterday with guide John Ruff & Jim Pavlicin (customer from the shop). It was a bit cold but worth it. John had the first fish.  It was a nice one, male about 24 inches.  Then I had one on and lost it due to a new knot I decided to try. The knot failed right away.  I went back to the Swirl knot and shortly after had this fish. As for Jim,  he had no luck.  All in all, it was a good day. Remember to be careful as the water is cold. I almost took a dunk.  It was scary to say the least!

I know, I thought I was really going in. So glad it did not turn out that way. Had a great day fishing with you and Jim.

Yeah you came real close to going swimming. I just wanted to say I had a good time fishing with you guy's even though I didn't catch any fish.
